CHARACTERS:

ALLEN WALKER:

Allen Walker a 16-year old kid whose left arm can transform into a monstrous claw and destroy Akuma, evolving machines created by The Earl of Millennium to help him destroy humanity. He got trained by one of the Black Order generals Cross Marian which he told him that he can become an Exorcist, humans who can destroy Akuma, for the Black Order, an organization attempting to stop the Earl. Allen became a powerful asset for the organization because he can detect disguised Akuma's with his Cursed Eye. The Earl decided to gather the Noah Family superhuman descendants of Noah who can destroy Innocence. Both side start to make their search for theHeart the most powerful piece of Innocence that will ensure victory to the side that finds it. As soon, the Order finds out that Allen is to succeed Nea Walker a Noah that betrayed and was killed by the Earl, as the 14th Noah. This leads the Order to suspect that Allen might betray them, and he is eventually confined. The Noah frees him to rescue Allen from the Apocryphos, a sentient Innocence that guards the Heart, causing the Order to revoke Allen's rights as an Exorcist and treat him as a Noah.

LENALEE LEE:

Lenalee Lee is a 16-year-old Exorcist from China. Her parents were killed by an Akuma when she was very young, and she was forced to become an Exorcist as a child. Because she was separated from her brother Komui, her only remaining family, she repeatedly tried to escape and was restrained. This caused her to hate the Order and Innocence. When Komui joined the Order to be with her, she stopped trying to escape. She now fights for her brother as well as her friends, as she now knows she has a home and family to return to. Her perception of the "world" consists of her friends and family; whenever one of her friends dies, it seems to her as if a part of her world has been destroyed. The Dark Boots, her Equipment-type anti-Akuma weapon, take the form of a pair of black, knee-high boots that give her the ability to run at high speeds, jump to great heights, walk on water, create whirlwinds and use sound waves as footholds. To defeat a Level 3 Akuma, she evoked more power out of the Innocence than she could safely handle, reducing her ability to use her boots as well as her physical mobility. During this state, her Innocence would become a crystal to protect her from harm, a behavior unheard of in Innocence. This caused the Earl to believe that Lenalee might possess the Great Heart. Later, she expresses a desire to willingly become an Exorcist. Accepting her conviction, the Innocence grants her greater power, becoming a never-before-seen evolved Equipment-type, dubbed a Crystal-type. These new Boots are made up of Lenalee's blood and will repair themselves as long as she has blood in her body. When the Dark Boots are in their dormant state, they form two blood-red anklets. When Kanda and Johnny run away, she and Marie keep their location a secret from Komui. She is voiced by Shizuka Itō in the Japanese version and by Luci Christian in the English version.

Lavi

Lavi is a cheerful 18-year-old red-haired Exorcist of mixed race. He aims to become a Bookman, a person who records the hidden history of the world, and has been trained from a young age to achieve that goal. Lavi is the 49th alias he assumed after casting away his real name to reach that goal. He works along the Black Order just to be close to the events that must be seen, but slowly becomes more attached to his Black Order friends, and his original Bookman self is constantly being clouded by his growing care for them. In recent chapters, he and Bookman were kidnapped by the Noah Clan and parasites from the Noah were put into Lavi in an attempt to get Bookman to give them information about the 14th Noah. His anti-akuma weapon, simply named Tettsui and referred to as Ōzuchi Kozuchi  is capable of growing and extending to undefined sizes and lengths. Although this affects its weight, this does not affect Lavi. The weapon allows him to use "seals" that control several elements of nature. He is voiced by Kenichi Suzumura in Japanese, and in English he is voiced by Jason Liebrecht from episodes 13 to 26 and episode 40 and on, and by Chris Patton in episodes 27 to 39.

Yu Kanda

Yu Kanda is a Second Exorcist, an artificial body possessing the brain of an Exorcist who died thirty years before the storyline. The Black Order launched the Synthetic Disciple Project nine years before the storyline, hoping that Second Exorcists would be able to synchronize with their original Innocence. Because of the Project, he is physically 19 years old but has only lived nine years. As a side effect, he sees lotus flowers blooming wherever he goes; when there was one flower, he was told that it was an illusion, and since then the flowers have multiplied to cover everything. So he could survive the synchronization tests, his body was created to heal much more quickly than that of ordinary humans to the point that he can recover from the Akuma's blood virus and regenerate lost limbs. This ability is connected to a variation of Om tattooed on the left side of his chest. He is quick-tempered and cold. He openly objects to the fatherly way his master General Tiedoll treats him, and he and Allen often throw insults and offensive statements at one another. Kanda refuses to die until he finds a "certain person," who is revealed to be a female Exorcist whose brain was put in fellow Second Exorcist Alma Karma.
Kanda was the second Second Exorcist to awaken. He was initially hostile toward Alma, but the two eventually became friends.Eventually, Kanda began to remember his past life; because of this he was to be terminated. Alma rescued him. Later, Alma learns the truth about the Second Exoricsts and kills the research staff. Hoping Kanda would die with him, Alma attacks Kanda but Kanda slices Alma to pieces. Alma is later revealed to be alive, and he tries to kill Kanda again. They have a terrible battle and nearly kill each other. It is eventually revealed to Allen that Alma is the woman he is looking for. Kanda finds out after overhearing Alma discussing this with Allen and Allen helps him and Alma run away together. Alma dies shortly after. Kanda's anti-Akuma weapon Mugen is an Equipment-type Innocence that takes the form of a Japanese sword. Mugen is capable of unleashing several techniques, dubbed "illusions". After battling Alma, Kanda's willingness to return the Order and be an Exorcist causes Mugen to evolve into a Crystal-type weapon. However, he has not forgiven the Order for what it has done to him and Alma and refuses to reveal the location of Alma's body. Kanda is voiced by Takahiro Sakurai in the Japanese version and by Travis Willingham in the English version.
